C.J. Stroud passed for six first-half touchdowns en route to a 49-0 advantage heading into halftime as No. 4 Ohio State never looked back recording the 10th win of the season, a 49-7 defeat of No. 7 Michigan State (9-2, 6-2 Big Ten) Saturday in Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes, now 10-1 and 8-0 in Big Ten games, play for the East Division title next week at Michigan (Noon/FOX).
Stroud found Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson for a pair of first half TDs and also connected with Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Julian Fleming for scores. Miyan Williams added a rushing score for Ohio State in the first half and Master Teague a fourth quarter touchdown.
Stroud finished the day 32-of-35 for 432 yards and the six touchdowns. At one point he completed 17 passes in a row, setting an Ohio State record. Olave (7-140-2), Wilson (7-126-2) and Njigba (10-105-1) all topped 100 yards receiving with Olave and Wilson recording all of their stats in the first 30 minutes of play.
Defensively, Ohio State limited Michigan State to 224 total yards and just 66 on the ground. The Buckeyes did not give up a score until early in the fourth quarter. Ohio State recorded nine tackles for loss and 11 pass breakups in the game.

Garrett Wilson returned from missing last week with an injury and led an explosive Ohio State offense with four touchdowns in a 59-31 win over Purdue Saturday in front of 101,009 in Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes have now won eight consecutive games to move to 9-1 on the season and 7-0 in B1G play. Purdue falls to 6-4 and 4-3 in the league.
Wilson, who caught three TD passes and ran for another 51-yard score, finished the game with 10 receptions for 126 yards. He led a receiving corps that included Jaxon Smith-Njigba (9-139-TD) and Chris Olave (9-85-TD).
Quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 31-of-38 attempts for 361 yards for five touchdowns. Running back TreVeyon Henderson rushed for 98 yards on 13 carries, including a 57-yard scoring run.
Miyan Williams, another freshman running back, rushed for 117 yards on 14 attempts with an 8.4 yards per rush average.
On the defensive side of the ball, Denzel Burke had 11 tackles, 10 solos, to pace the defense.

TreVeyon Henderson rushed for 152 yards on 28 carries while C.J. Stroud completed 22 of 34 passes for 305 yards with one touchdown to lead the No. 5 Buckeyes (7-1, 5-0) to a 33-24 win over No. 20 Penn State (5-3, 2-3) Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
Leading 30-24 with 2:41 remaining in the game, Noah Ruggles made his fourth field goal of the game, a 26-yard boot, to put the Buckeyes ahead by two scores to secure the win.
Ruggles was successful from 35, 23, 25 and 26-yards out on the night.

Besides taking a knee at the end of the first half, No. 7 Ohio State scored a touchdown in each of its first eight possessions in dominating Maryland, 66-17.
For the second game in a row, quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for five touchdowns. Overall, he was an efficient 24-for-33 for 406 yards.
The three-headed monster at wide receiver again turned in a stellar day as Chris Olave moved into sole possession of third place in Ohio State annals with his 28th and 29th career TD catches. He finished with seven balls for 120 yards. Jaxson Smith-Njigba had five catches for 103 and Garrett Wilson accounted for the first score of each half en route to a five-grab, 84-yard day.
Freshman standout TreVeyon Henderson accounted for a hat trick in the scoring department with a pair of rushing touchdowns and a six-point reception. He finished with 16 totes for 102 yards and then added 67 receiving on four catches.
Defensively, the Buckeyes limited Maryland to 335 yards of total offense with five sacks and two interceptions.
The No. 7 ranked Buckeyes are now 5-1 on the season and 3-0 in B1G play, while Maryland falls to 4-2 / 1-2.

Ohio State found its groove on both sides of the ball and rolled to a 59-7 victory over Akron Saturday night under the lights at Ohio Stadium.
With the win, the Buckeyes improve to 3-1 overall, while the Zips fall to 1-3 in 2021.
The OSU offense totaled 622 yards, going 7-for-7 in red zone opportunities, while the Buckeye defense dominated up front with nine total sacks.
OSU quarterback Kyle McCord made his first collegiate start and went 13-for-18 with 319 yards and two touchdowns. TreVeyon Henderson continued to shine for the Scarlet and Gray, scoring two touchdowns on eight carries for 93 rushing yards, while Master Teague also found the end zone twice on eight carries for 71 yards. Ten different Buckeyes collected a reception tonight vs. the Zips led by Garrett Wilson, who totaled 124 yards on four catches. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. Haskell Garrett led the defense with his first three sacks of the season.

Freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson ran for an Ohio State freshman record 277 yards as the Buckeyes downed Tulsa Saturday afternoon, 41-20.
The Buckeyes are now 2-1 on the season while Tulsa falls to 0-3.
Henderson carried 24 times for 277 yards and three touchdowns to break Archie Griffin’s freshman record of 239 yards set in 1972.
Ohio State led 13-6 at halftime and opened up a 20-6 lead on a 48-yard scamper by Henderson at the start of the third quarter. Tulsa hung around and trailed just 27-20 midway through the fourth quarter. That’s when Buckeye quarterback C.J. Stroud hit Garrett Wilson for a 12-yard touchdown and then defensive back Cameron Martinez intercepted a pass and returned it 61 yards for a touchdown to provide the final margin of 41-20.
The Buckeyes remain at home to take on in-state foe Akron at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

After a slow start, Ohio State and Oregon traded punches in a matchup befitting of two Top-15 teams. Buckeye quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for 484 yards and three touchdowns, but it was not enough to overcome a strong Duck offense that seemed to answer every Buckeye score with one of its own in a 35-28 victory.
Three Buckeye receivers topped 100 yards receiving on the day as Chris Olave hauled in 12 catches for 126 yards, Garrett Wilson had eight grabs for 117, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba went for 145 yards on seven receptions.
Oregon was led by running back CJ Verdel, who scored three touchdowns while amassing 195 total yards.
