
Ohio State Prepares for Big Ten Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 5 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team starts its postseason quest at 8 p.m. ET Saturday at the 2021 Big Ten Championships, hosted by Nebraska at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The meet will air live on the Big Ten Network.

- The Buckeyes last competed on March 17 against No. 2 Michigan in a virtual meet. Jesse Tyndall finished first on floor (14.050) and Dexter Roettker scored a career-high 14.550 on vault to take first place. Ohio State had five more podium finishes on five events. The Buckeyes were slated to conclude their regular season versus William & Mary but the meet was canceled.
- Ohio State will open the championship on high bar and rotate through floor exercise, a bye, pommel horse, rings, vault and will end the day on parallel bars.
- The Buckeyes head into Saturday ranked third in the Big Ten with a team average of 406.100.
- Ohio State tops the conference on parallel bars (68.450) while coming in second on rings (67.550). The team also ranks third on pommel horse (66.900) and vault (71.467).
- The last Buckeye to win an individual Big Ten title was Alec Yoder in 2019. He won the pommel horse crown with a score of 14.875.
- Ohio State last captured a Big Ten Championship in 2017. It was the 14th overall conference championship title for the Buckeyes.
