COLUMBUS, Ohio – With the No. 9 overall seed, the Ohio State women’s volleyball team is set to face No. 25 Missouri in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday at 12 p.m. ET in the CHI Health Center. The match is slated to air on ESPN3.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- It is Ohio State’s 23rd appearance in the NCAA Tournament and first tournament bid since the 2016 season.
- The Buckeyes are 35-22 (.614) overall in the NCAA Tourney.
- Ohio State has advanced to the regional semifinals over 70 percent of the time (16 of 22 postseason appearances).
- Jen Flynn Oldenburg is making her first appearance as a head coach in the national tournament. She is the only head coach in Ohio State history to earn an appearance in the NCAA Tournament during their first year at the helm.
LOOKING AT MIZZOU
- Missouri advanced to the second round of the tournament with a straight-set win over South Dakota on Wednesday, paced by Kylie Deberg with 16 kills and 10 digs.
- The Tigers have a 16-7 overall record this season.
- Missouri is 17-16 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
- Thursday’s contest will be just the second meeting between the Buckeyes and Tigers.
- Ohio State had a 3-1 victory in the lone meeting with Missouri on Sept. 8, 2018.
BUCKEYE BITS
- The Buckeyes finished their regular season with a 15-3 overall record.
- A trio of Buckeyes picked up AVCA All-Northeast Regional honors, led by Emily Londot, who was the Northeast Region Freshman of the Year. Rylee Rader and Mac Podraza joined her on the regional team.
- Londot was voted Big Ten Freshman of the Year, the seventh Buckeye in program history to receive the honor and first since Stacey Gordon in 2001.
- Head coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg was named Big Ten Coach of the Year by the league’s coaches and media. She is only the second Ohio State head coach to achieve the feat – Jim Stone did so three times.
- A program-record five players earned All-Big Ten honors. Londot (unanimous) and Podraza were first team All-Big Ten honorees. Rader, Kylie Murr and Vanja Bukilic all garnered second team accolades. Londot and Rader also earned spots on the all-freshman team.
- Ohio State moved up to No. 8 in the AVCA Division I Coaches Top-25 Poll. It is the eighth straight week the Buckeyes have been featured in the rankings and fifth week in the top 10.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Ohio State ranks 14th among Division I statistical leaders with 14.20 kills per set.
- The Buckeyes are averaging 13.07 assists per set to check in at No. 18 nationally.
- Rylee Rader has a .422 hitting percentage to rank 15th in the country.
- Mac Podraza’s 806 total assists (16th) and 10.89 assists per set (19th) are also among the top marks.
- Emily Londot led all Big Ten freshmen and was second in the conference in kills per set (4.03) and total points (335.5).
