
No. 10 Buckeyes Head to Nebraska and Iowa

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 10-ranked Ohio State women’s tennis team welcomes hits the road for matches at Nebraska and Iowa this weekend. The Buckeyes (8-3, 5-1 B1G) will face the Huskers at 5 p.m. ET Friday and the Hawkeyes at noon ET Sunday.

Buckeye This and That
- Ohio State is 8-3 overall on the year and 5-1 in Big Ten play with wins over Purdue (6-1), Indiana (7-0), Maryland (5-2), Rutgers (7-0) and Michigan State (6-1). The squad suffered its first B1G loss of the year last Sunday, falling to Michigan 4-3 in a match that came down to a third set tiebreaker.
- The Buckeyes moved to No. 10 in the ITA rankings this week. The squad started the year at No. 13.
- Ohio State has won the doubles point in eight of 11 matches this season, including in its first six Big Ten matches. In doubles, the squad is 7-1 on court one and 9-2 on court three, with a 4-5 mark on court two, posting a 13-0 mark in B1G matches.
- Lucia Marzal (10-2) and Irina Cantos Siemers (10-3) lead the Buckeyes with 10 overall wins each this year, followed by Luna Dormet who is 9-1. In dual matches, Marzal is a beam-best 8-1, with Dormet 7-1, Cantos Siemers 7-3 and Isabelle Boulais 6-2. Marzal (5-0) and freshman Tanisha Kashyap (4-0) are undefeated in Big Ten singles matches.
- Boulais and Marzal enter the weekend on five-match winning streaks. Boulais has not dropped a set in the stretch, while Marzal won in three sets vs. Michigan last Sunday to extend her winning streak.
- In dual matches, the doubles tandem of Kolie Allen and Isabelle Boulais is a team-best 6-1, all on court one. The pairs of Lisa Hofbauer/Marzal and Dormet/Cantos Siemers have posted 4-0 records.

Ohio State vs. Nebraska
- The Huskers are 5-1 overall and in Big Ten play this season, with wins over Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Purdue and Indiana and a loss to Northwestern.
