COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19 Ohio State women’s volleyball team is back on the road for a pair of matches at Rutgers. First serve on Friday and Saturday is set for 5 p.m.

NATIONAL RECOGNITION
Ohio State entered the AVCA Division I Coaches Top-25 Poll at No. 19 on Monday. It is the first time the Buckeyes have been nationally ranked since Sept. 11, 2017.
LAST TIME OUT
The Buckeyes extended their unblemished record to 9-0 with two wins at Illinois last weekend. Ohio State opened the series with a 3-1 victory on Friday and fought back for a 3-2 triumph on Saturday. Rylee Rader had a .455 attacking rate and averaged 2.67 kills while in Champaign.
PODRAZA GOES B1G
Sophomore Mac Podraza earned the first weekly honor of her career on Monday when she was named Big Ten Setter of the Week. She averaged 9.21 assists per set and totaled 129 assists during Ohio State’s upset of No. 8 Penn State and two victories over Illinois. She recorded her second double-double of the year against the Nittany Lions with 42 assists and a career-high 15 digs. Podraza also added five kills, three blocks and two aces. The Sunbury, Ohio, native led the match in assists on Friday (42) and Saturday (45) when the Buckeyes faced Illinois. She also contributed 10 kills, 15 digs and five blocks during the series.
SCOUTING RUTGERS
Rutgers (2-8) dropped a 3-1 decision and earned a 3-2 win at Iowa to split last weekend’s series. Prior to Saturday’s victory, the Scarlet Knights had lost six straight matches. Rutgers currently ranks ninth in the Big Ten with a .186 hitting percentage.
HISTORY WITH THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
Ohio State owns a 12-1 all-time record against Rutgers, dating back to 1978. The Buckeyes have won the last 10 meetings and are 5-0 when playing in Piscataway.
BIG TEN RANKINGS
The Buckeyes currently sit at No. 4 in the Big Ten with 14.68 digs per set, 13.61 kills and 12.21 assists. Ohio State has held its opponents to a .155 attacking clip, which ranks third. Individually, Mac Podraza’s 10.08 assists (4th), Kylie Murr’s 4.08 digs (4th), Lauren Witte’s .388 hitting percentage (6th) and Emily Londot’s 3.61 kills (9th) ranks among the conference’s leaders.
