COLUMBUS, Ohio – Following Ohio State swimming’s first outing of the 2021-22 campaign, Amy Fulmer has been named the women’s Big Ten Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
In the team’s season opener, Fulmer earned wins in five of her six races of the meet. She was a member of the 200 Free Relay and 200 and 400 Medley Relays that each earned wins on the weekend. Individually, the junior touched the wall first in the 100 and 200 Free in times of 49.19 and 1:46.57, respectively. Both of her individual swims were good for NCAA B cuts. Her finish in the 200 Free was the fourth fastest NCAA time of the season.
After picking up a combined four dual wins last weekend, the Buckeyes return to action Nov. 11 and 12. The women take their first road trip of the season to face Akron on Nov. 11 and then both squads reunite on Nov. 12 to take on Denison at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
