
Gruensfelder Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released its volleyball academic all-district teams on Thursday. Senior defensive specialist Hannah Gruensfelder earned a spot on the list with a 3.49 cumulative GPA in biomedical engineering. View full list of honorees HERE.
This season, Gruensfelder has played in all 90 sets and 26 matches for the Buckeyes and ranks second on the team with 228 total digs (2.53 per set). She leads Ohio State in service aces (28) and averages 0.31 per set. Gruensfelder currently ranks third in program history with 1,447 career digs after beginning the season ranking 10th. She’s recorded at least 10 digs in a match on eight occasions this season.
Gruensfelder also owns the program record for digs in a four-set match (38), set her freshman season, which ranks second on the overall match records list. She previously set the program record for digs per set (4.34) her freshman year and now ranks second in that category. Gruensfelder remains one of only nine players in program history who’s averaged more than three digs per set throughout her career.
