
Buckeyes Set for Gamecock Shootout

COLUMBUS, Ohio – This weekend, the Ohio State women’s tennis team will be in Columbia, S.C., for the Gamecock Shootout hosted by South Carolina. The event is a round robin and features singles and doubles matches. Friday is one round of singles and doubles, with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles Saturday and one round of singles Sunday.
The Buckeyes will be joined by host South Carolina, SMU, Butler and Michigan. The Buckeyes and Wolverines will play as a split squad for the hidden dual event. Kolie Allen, Maddie Atway, Isabelle Boulais, Kathleen Jones, Sydni Ratliff and Dani Schoenly are on the road for the Buckeyes this weekend.

Buckeye This and That
- Ohio State hosted the ITA Midwest Regional last weekend. Irina Cantos Siemers led the way, finishing as the singles runner up and pairing with Sydni Ratliff to win the doubles crown.
- The doubles titles was the second in program history and the first since Miho Kowase and Anna Sanford won in 2016.
- The duo of Isabelle Boulais and Kolie Allen reached the doubles semifinal at regionals. Lucia Marzal finished as a singles quarterfinalist.
- Cantos Siemers and Madeline Atway share the Buckeye lead with 9-4 singles records this fall. Lina Ali has seven singles victories, Ratliff has six and Shelly Bereznyak and Lucia Marzal each have five. In doubles, Ratliff and Cantos Siemers are first with a 6-1 record.
