COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Ohio State University men’s golf team has added sophomore Laken Hinton, a transfer from Augusta University, to compete in the Scarlet and Gray starting this spring. Hinton has had great success in his young career so far, as he competed in the starting five for Augusta in the 2018 NCAA National Championship as a freshman. In his three semesters at Augusta; Fall 17-Spring 18, Fall 18; he played in 17 events with three top-10 finishes, including taking home third in the 2018 MEAC Championship. Hinton finished nine tournament rounds par or better, carding seven rounds in the 60s along the way. The Edmond, Oklahoma native, attended Edmond North High School and helped capture a 2016 Oklahoma State Championship.
Ohio State resumes play in February at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida for the Big Ten Match Play.
