
Grimmer Jumps Into Top-10 at Linger Longer Inv.

GREENSBORO, Ga. – Junior Will Grimmer fired a three-under 69 on Monday to climb into the top-10 and pace the Buckeyes in round two of the Linger Longer Invitational.
Grimmer made four birdies in his first six holes to jump start his round. He then made nine-straight pars before finishing-up with a 3-under 69. That jumped him into a tie for ninth at 3-under par for the 36 holes.
Daniel Wetterich made three birdies in his round of even-par 72 which followed his opening round 70. That puts him at 2-under for the event and tied for 13th.
As a team, the Buckeyes held their fourth place position with a 1-over 289. They are 6-under for the tournament, three shots ahead of Virginia and three shots behind Penn State.
Will Voetsch and Josh Wick each posted rounds of 2-over 74 on Monday. Voetsch is 1-over through 36 holes while Wick is 4-over. Jeg Coughlin III shot a 77 to round out the Buckeye five.
Caleb Ramirez, who is playing as an individual, has carded rounds of 74-75 and is in a tie for 56.
The Buckeyes will tee off Tuesday morning at 9:20 a.m. with UNCG and Virginia.
