All-Big Ten Accolades Bestowed Upon Will Grimmer

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Will Grimmer put together the 100th All-Big Ten season performance in Ohio State Men’s Golf history, picking up 2017 all-conference second team recognition on Tuesday (May 2). Grimmer is coming off a runner-up showing at the Big Ten Championships (Apr. 28-30), marking the best individual finish by a Buckeye at the B1G event since Kevin Hall hoisted the trophy in 2004.
In addition, Daniel Wetterich is the recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
Grimmer is pacing the Buckeyes with a 72.03 season stroke average. He has dropped down into the 60s in nine of 30 rounds played and notched two additional scores under par. In 10 events during his sophomore campaign, Grimmer owns a pair of Top-5, three Top-10 and six Top-25 individual finishes. He has also come in as the best Buckeye scorer in six of the 10 tournaments.
Grimmer and the rest of the squad find out their NCAA postseason fate on Thursday (May 4) when the NCAA Selection Show airs at noon ET on Golf Channel.
