Fisher Wins Long Jump Title at All-Ohio Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

Cincinnati, Ohio – In the first outdoor collegiate meet of his career, freshman Davion Fisher came away the victor in the men’s long jump at the All-Ohio Championships at Gettler Stadium. Fisher wasted no time posting the winning mark with a leap of 7.41m (24-3.50) on his first attempt of the afternoon. The title is the first of Fisher’s young career.

Olivia Small competed for the women in the long jump and came away with silver. The junior’s third attempt was her best of the night; she floated through the air for a mark of 5.56m (18-2.75). In the men’s hammer throw, Max Seipel registered a second-place showing with a heave of 56.26m (184-6.75).
Sade Olatoye was the top finisher for the women in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.28m (184-7.50) to finish in seventh. Kate Deaton placed ninth with a throw of 55.48m (182-0.00), and Grace Azenabor registered a personal-best mark of 50.78m (166-7.00).
Day two of the All-Ohio Championships will begin tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET with the women’s javelin throw and men’s discus throw. Track events will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET.
