Gainesville, Fla. – Two weeks after the school record in the pole vault was set by Megan Hoffman in Arizona, fellow vaulter Madison Roberts matched her training partner’s career best with a clearance of 3.85m (12-7.50) on Friday at the Florida Relays to become the school’s co-record holder; the clearance earned Roberts a seventh-place finish in the event.

Deshawn Marshall (200m dash) and Champ Page (400m dash), two of Ohio State’s most lethal sprinters, both registered Top 10 times in the NCAA for their respective events.
Page registered his best 400m dash time of the season with a readout of 46.30 to place fifth overall in a field of 59 athletes; the time of 46.30 currently ranks ninth in the NCAA. Marshall, who dabbled in both the 100m and 200m dash on Friday, had his best performance in the latter event. In the invite only heat, Marshall duked it out with some of the top sprinters in the nation for a second-place finish with a wind-aided time of 20.53. That mark is the seventh fastest run by a collegian in 2017. Marshall also placed 21st in the 100m dash with a wind-aided time of 10.41.
The women’s 400m dash was filled with Scarlet and Gray with four of the Buckeyes’ runners placing in the Top 20 of a field of over 60 athletes. Maggie Barrie seemed like she seemingly shot out of a cannon rounding the final turn of the one-lap sprint to coast to a personal-best time of 52.82, nearly cracking the Top 5 all-time list at Ohio State. Barrie’s time earned her a fifth-place showing with the 11th-quickest time in the nation. Beatrice Hannan won her heat by a wide margin with a personal-best readout of 53.32 to finish ninth overall. Karrington Winters (54.11) and Tamani Wilson (54.27/personal best) placed 17th and 18th, respectively.
The women’s discus duo of Lyne’a Diller and Sade Olatoye threw their way to a two-three finish. Diller, only a freshman, set a huge personal best of 50.79m (166-08) improving by more than three meters from her Buckeye debut two weeks ago in Arizona. The toss by Diller is just outside the Top 5 all-time list at Ohio State falling a foot and a half short of working her way in. Olatoye’s third-place finish came on the hinges of a 50.18m (164-07) heave.
