Columbus, Ohio— It’s that time of year again: Ohio State’s women’s swimmers and divers are ready to compete at NCAA Championships. This year competition will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from March 15-18 at IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI.

Below is the event schedule for this week. Finals will begin each night at 6:00 p.m. ET and prelims will begin on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. ET.

Who’s Heading to Indy
Ohio State will be sending 10 swimmers and one diver to Indianapolis this week, making this the seventh straight season the Scarlet and Gray have sent at least nine student-athletes to NCAA’s. Meg Bailey, Lindsey Clary, Kathrin Demler, Molly Kowal, Liz Li, and Taylor Vargo all qualified individually in swimming events while Lara Tarvit qualified on platform at the NCAA Zone C Diving meet last week. Maria Coy, Marianne Kahmann, Macie McNichols, and Chantel Wynn will be representing the Buckeyes as relay alternates.
For Clary and Vargo this will be their fourth trip in four years to NCAA’s, while Li and McNichols are both heading there for the third time. All of OSU’s other competitors are making their first trip.

Here are the events in which Ohio State’s individuals earned qualification:
Bailey: 200 butterfly, 200 IM, 400 IM
Clary: 400 IM, 500 freestyle, 1,650 freestyle
Demler: 400 IM
Kowal: 1,650 freestyle
Li: 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly
Tarvit: Platform
Vargo: 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke

Last Year at NCAA Championships
Ohio State capped one of its most successful seasons in program history with a Top 15 finish at NCAA’s. For the first time in over 20 years the Buckeyes had at least two All-Americans and five Big Ten champions.

Ohio State at NCAA’s
Ohio State has earned two Top 10 finishes at the NCAA championships – 10th in 1983 and a program-best seventh in 1994. The Buckeyes have registered 13 Top 20 finishes, with the last coming in 2016 when they finished 14th in Atlanta.
