COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball program, under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly, has announced the dates for its Fall Elite Camps, Little Buckeyes Camp and Elite Hitting Academy.
FALL ELITE CAMP
The Fall Elite Camp provides a full day of fun and softball. Half the day will be devoted to instruction, drills and learning opportunities while the second half of the day will be used to apply these skills in game situations. The fee for the camp is $130. It is open to any and all 2017-2022 high school graduates. Experience playing competitive softball for 1-2 years in recommended (e.g. travel ball, high school softball).
WHEN: Sunday, September 18 and Sunday, October 23
WHERE: Buckeye Field
CAMP SCHEDULE
Registration: 7:15-8:00 a.m.
Camp/Drills/Lunch: 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Lunch (not provided, on own in a rotation)
Drills/Game Situations: 1:00-4:00 p.m.

LITTLE BUCKEYES DAY CAMP
The Little Buckeyes Day Camp will be focused on the younger or beginner softball player. Defensive fundamentals will be covered for the infield, outfield and catching positions. Pitching will briefly be available for those players interested. Offense will be discussed, with breaking down the swing but also reviewing sliding, bunting and running bases. The fee for the camp is $95 and is open to any and all ages 7-11.

Registration: 9:00-9:30 a.m.
Camp/Drills: 10:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Lunch: 12-15-1:00 p.m.

ELITE HITTING ACADEMY
The Elite Hitting Academy is a six-week progressive academy that focuses on building the fundamental swing and creating consistency is your output as a hitter. The focus during the six weeks will center around, but not limited to, the following: bat speed, swing fundamental, explosiveness, mental approach, strength, timing, and pitch recognition. The fee for the entire six-week academy is $390 while a single date is $65. It is open to any and all 2017-2022 high school graduates.
WHEN: September 7, 14, 21, 28 and October 5, 12
Session I: 5-6 p.m. | Session II: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
