Buckeyes Conclude Season at NCAA Outdoor Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field team concluded its season Thursday evening at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships at rainy Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
First on the track, senior SoSo Walker earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 400-meter dash with an 18th-place time of 53.44.
Next up, senior Alexis Franklin raced to a time of 57.07 in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing 12th overall for Second Team All-America.
Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 200-meter dash went to redshirt senior Aisha Cavin, who finished 18th overall in a time of 23.64.
In the field, senior Alyssa Gary earned Honorable Mention All-America – her first All-America award at Ohio State – with a 23rd-place finish at 15.24 meters (50-0).
The 4×400-meter relay – freshman Karrington Winters, Cavin, Walker and Franklin – closed the day with a 16th-place finish overall in a time of 3:35.38, good for Second Team All-America honors.
Cavin, Franklin and Walker each earned a pair of All-America awards Thursday, bringing their career totals at OSU to nine, five and five, respectively. Winters earned her first All-America honor as a Buckeye.
Tomorrow, the Buckeye men will wrap up their season as freshman Nick Gray runs in the 200-meter dash at approximately 10:13 p.m. ET, followed by the 4×400-meter relay at around 10:51 p.m. ESPN will air live coverage of the events.
