
Melton, Wynn Chase Olympic Dreams at U.S. Trials

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rising junior Sean Melton and former Buckeye national champion Brandon Wynn vie for spots on the U.S. Olympic Team this Thursday and Saturday, June 23 and 25, at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Mo.
Melton and Wynn are two of 18 men contending for spots on the five-man U.S. Olympic Team that will compete at the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this August.

Melton, the 2016 Big Ten Gymnast of the Year and conference all-around champion, is a five-time B1G champion and six-time All-American. A member of the U.S. Senior National Team, Melton earned a fifth-place finish in the all-around at the P&G championships earlier this month and a bronze medal on parallel bars at the Osijek World Challenge Cup in May.
A two-time NCAA champion and All-American for the Buckeyes from 2008-2011, Wynn is a four-time U.S. national champion on rings. He finished fifth on rings at the 2015 World Championships and earned a bronze medal in 2013. A current member of the U.S. Senior National Team and Team Hilton HHonors, he is coached by Buckeye assistant Casimiro Suarez.
