Buckeyes Further Bolster 2016 Roster, Add Franklin – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ana Beatriz Franklin, hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has joined the Ohio State women’s volleyball program and been added to the 2016 roster after signing on to play for head coach Geoff Carlston and staff.
Franklin won three South America Championships as a member of the Brazilian Youth National Team, taking home MVP honors in the U-16 Championships hosted by Colombia in 2013. She played on two more South America Championship-winning squads in 2014, taking the U-17 title in Peru and U-20 crown in Chile.
The 5-foot-11 outside hitter is also a five-time national club champion, voted MVP on three occasions. Franklin’s MVP efforts were also recognized in five of six state titles for the Fluminense FC volleyball team. She acquired a state championship playing for Esporte Clube Pinheiros as well.
