
Emeric Quade Named Second Team Academic All-American

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior captain Emeric Quade of the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team was named a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday. Quade was one of 15 athletes to the earn second-team laurels on the Division I Men’s At-Large Team.
Quade, a native of Tucson, Ariz., graduated from Ohio State in May with a 3.89 GPA in biochemistry. A 2016 All-American on floor exercise, Quade was a three-year letter winner for the Buckeyes, excelling on floor and vault. In the classroom, Quade was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, two-time CGA All-American Scholar-Athlete, four-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and a 2015 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
Quade was previously named to the Region 5 Academic All-District team by CoSIDA last month. He is one of two Buckeyes on the Division I Men’s At-Large Team this season, joining first-team selection Christy Blough of the men’s volleyball.
