Buckeyes End Big Ten Championships on a High Note – Ohio State Buckeyes

NEWBURGH, Ind. — The Ohio State University men’s golf team carded a 5-under 283 on the final day of the Big Ten Championships, the second-lowest score among all 14 teams in the final round. All four contributors to the team score shot under or at par as to lift the Buckeyes up into eighth place overall, just ahead of No. 31 Penn State (+19).
Will Grimmer was the top OSU performer for the weekend, earning a share of 12th place in the 70-player field. The freshman from Cincinnati posted rounds of 70-73-72 to finish 1-under. He accumulated 37 pars in 54 holes played, ranking second in the event.
Tee-k Kelly and Josh Wick joined Grimmer in the top-25. Kelly came on strong down the stretch, following an opening-round 76 with back-to-back 71’s. He climbed into a tie for 20th place by the tournament’s conclusion. Wick matched Clark Engle for the team’s best final round, both registering 2-under 70’s. Wick preceded with rounds of 74-75 and tied for 25th place while Engle had entered the final day in 56th place before ascending 17 slots on the strength of his Sunday 70 (T-39th).
