Grimmer Remains in Top-10 at Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

NEWBURGH, Ind. – The Ohio State University men’s golf team and freshman Will Grimmer remained steady at ninth place in the team and individual standings, respectively, on Day Two of the 2016 Big Ten Championships. Ohio State trimmed two strokes off its first round tally (298) Saturday afternoon, registering an 8-over 296.
Grimmer owns a share of ninth place individually, six shots back from tournament leader Carson Schaake (-7) of Iowa. He followed up his opening round 70 with a 73 on his second trip around the course. Grimmer has racked up 27 pars in total, tied for second-most in the entire field.
Tee-k Kelly made an upward surge of 13 slots on the leaderboard; jumping from 42nd into 29th place after 36 holes. He cupped five birdies en route to a 1-under 71 and owns a team-high eight birdies for the weekend.
Josh Wick joins Grimmer and Kelly as two-time contributors to the team tally. Wick is tied for 30th overall following scores of 74-75 (+5).
