
Pair of Buckeyes Make Moves on Day Two at Colonial

FORT WORTH, Texas — Daniel Wetterich paced the Ohio State University men’s golf team with a 1-over 71 on Day Two of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational to leap 12 slots up the individual leaderboard. Caleb Ramirez embarked on an ascension as well, climbing nine rungs following a 2-over 72.
Wetterich is 6-over for the tournament and tied for 44th place. Meanwhile, Ramirez pulled even with fellow sophomore Will Grimmer in a share of 38th place overall at 5-over (145). Addison Coll joins the aforementioned three Buckeyes as two-time contributors to the team tally thus far in the Lone Star State.
Grimmer opened the event by carding a 71 on Sunday and came back at 74 in round number two, totaling 28 pars (tied for 3rd most in the entire field). Ramirez scorched the `Front 9' to the tune of 1-under, and ultimately completed the day with a 72. His eight total birdies are tied for seventh most and have led to a share of 38th place (73-72). Wetterich shaved four strokes off between rounds, going from a 75 on Day One to the 71 in his second trip around the PGA Tour Stop (Colonial Country Club).
