Engle, Buckeyes Notch Another Top-5 Finish – Ohio State Buckeyes

GASTONIA, N.C. – The Buckeyes jumped two spots on the final day of competition to place tied for fifth in the 2015 Gary Koch Invitational. Led by Clark Engle’s individual top-5 showing, Ohio State finished the two-day, 54-hole tournament at 13-over (877).
Engle continued his stellar sophomore campaign as he scored a 4-under (212) for his fourth top-5 standing in seven tournaments played this season. Engle posted team-best scores in both rounds on Monday (71-70) and finished just four strokes behind the tournament leaders (Michael Johnson – Auburn; Rowin Caron – Florida State).
Tee-k Kelly rebounded from a 75 and 76 on the opening day of the invitational and carded a 2-under 70 on Tuesday. The last round flurry was good enough to move him up 13 spots to his final position tied for 32nd.
Boo Timko led Ohio State’s climb into a share of fifth place, marking the team’s fifth top-5 finish performance of the season. He registered a 69 on Tuesday, the lowest score from any Buckeye during the event. He finished tied for 47th after ascending an impressive 20 spots in the standings during the final round.
Grant Weaver completed the tournament with scores of 73-74-77 to finish 8-over and T-42nd. Logan Jones rounded out the Buckeye lineup shooting 16-over (232) and placing T-69th.
