Timko started his string of conference championship success back as a sophomore in 2013, earning a share of fourth place. He then tied for fifth last season and made it three straight top-10’s this week. A second-round 68 rocketed him up the leaderboard before an even par 72 in Round Three solidified his presence amongst the top-10 out of 70 competitors.
While Timko contributed all four rounds to the team tally, the remaining quartet of Buckeyes in the lineup each provided three scores.
Clark Engle’s opening round 77 wasn’t good enough to make the team cut, but then the sophomore dropped down to 75-73-74 the remainder of the weekend to grab a share of 26th place overall.
Tee-k Kelly and Grant Weaver finished two shots back and tied for 32nd place. Kelly registered scores of 72-73-77-79 to end up 13-over while Weaver’s weekend scorecard read 72-79-73-77. Logan Jones was solid through the first 54 holes going 73-77-75 before falling into a T-54th slot following his final round 85.
