Buckeyes Leap into Second Place at Big Ten Championship on Day Two – Ohio State Buckeyes

NEWBURGH, Ind. – The Ohio State University men’s golf team is in front of a large contingent battling it out for second place at the 2015 Big Ten Championship. With 54 of 72 holes in the books, No. 4 Illinois (-19) has pulled out to an incredible 32-stroke lead. The Buckeyes are next in the standings at 13-over, clear of third-place Iowa by a lone stroke.
Ohio State wrapped up its suspended second round in the morning at 293, and followed it with another 293 in round number three.
Senior captain Boo Timko has been the top OSU performer thus far, tied for fifth place overall. He’s posted rounds of 74-68-72 to secure his top-5 status.
There is no weak link in the lineup through three rounds, leading to the squad’s overall success. All five Buckeyes are slotted in the top half of the field. Tee-k Kelly owns a piece of 21st place at 6-over (72-73-77) while Grant Weaver comes in at T-30th following tallies of 72-79-73.
Logan Jones and Clark Engle aren’t far behind at 9-over (225), good for a share of 32nd place.
