COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competes at the SPIRE NCAA Division I Team Invitational this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14, in Geneva, Ohio.
Events from the SPIRE Institute, host of the 2015 Big Ten Indoor Championships, are scheduled to begin at approximately 2 p.m. ET Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. A complete recap will be available after the meet at www.OhioStateBuckeyes.com.

Borchers Breaks Own 800m Indoor Record at Notre Dame
Senior Katie Borchers broke her own school indoor record in the 800-meter run Feb. 7 at the Meyo Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind.
The new record time –2:05.56 – helped Borchers to a win in her heat, third place overall and the top time among collegiate runners in the event, which featured 82 competitors. Borchers owns the top time in the Big Ten this season and the seventh fastest in Division I track and field.

Buckeyes in the USTFCCCA National Rankings
The Buckeye men are ranked 32nd in the USTFCCCA Division I Indoor Track & Field Week Three Poll, released Feb. 9.
OSU totaled 28.19 points in the fourth poll of the regular season, dropping one spot from its previous ranking of 31. Five Big Ten teams are featured in the Top 25: No. 5 Penn State, No. 7 Nebraska, No. 18 Wisconsin, No. 20 Purdue and No. 23 Michigan State. Oregon is the No. 1-ranked team, followed by No. 2 Florida and third-ranked Arkansas.
Freshman Donovan Robertson (No. 3, 60-meter hurdles) and senior Timothy Faust (No. 9, 200-meter dash) are ranked among the Top 25 in their respective events, along with the Buckeyes’ 4×400-meter relay team (No. 11). Up until the Week Four poll, released Feb. 17, a combination of preseason and in-season data is used to determine team and individual rankings.
The OSU women are ranked 73rd overall, unchanged from last week’s poll. Four Big Ten rivals are represented in the Top 30: No. 18 Wisconsin, No. 20 Michigan, No. 21 Maryland and No. 26 Michigan State. Georgia is the top-ranked women’s team, followed by No. 2 Florida and No. 3 Arkansas.
Week Four rankings are scheduled for release Feb. 16.

Last Time Out
The Buckeye enjoyed a productive Friday-Saturday trip to the Meyo Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind., Feb. 6-7.
Along with the new 800-meter indoor record by Borchers, other highlights included:
• A first-place finish in the 60-meter dash and season-best time (7.30) by Sykes, who also finished third in the 200-meter dash in a season-best 23.91 seconds.
• Runner-up honors in the 60-meter hurdles for Robertson, who equaled his season-best time of 7.76 seconds.
• A record throws weekend for sophomore Dylan Dyke, who set PRs in both the shot put (18.36 meters/60-2.75) and weight throw (19.57 meters/64-2.50).
• Senior Abie Ehimwenman’s victory in the long jump, clearing a season-best 6.02 meters (19-9.00), the fourth-best jump in the Big Ten this season.
• The men’s 4×400-meter relay combining for a runner-up time of 3:09.09, the second-fastest in the Big Ten this season and 11th-best in Division I.
