WINDERMERE, Fla. – Tee-k Kelly and Caleb Ramirez posted Ohio State’s top scores for the second straight day of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, each following up their opening-round 74’s with scores of 75 on Day Two. At 5-over for the tournament, both Buckeyes are tied for 27th place heading into Tuesday’s final round. The Buckeyes are slotted 11th in the team standings (+24).
Ramirez, a freshman from Blythe, Calif., is 18 holes away from leading the Buckeyes in his collegiate debut and potentially notching a top-25 individual effort. He recorded three birdies on the day, including two in the first four holes of the Back 9 to get back on track. Ramirez shot even par through the final 11 holes. Kelly, meanwhile, limited his mishaps to three bogies and a double en route to matching Ramirez’s 149 total through 36 holes.
Clark Engle dropped a lone stroke off the Kelly/Ramirez pace, carding a 4-over 76 in his second round. He is tied for 36th place on the individual leaderboard after a roller coaster second round that included just seven pars littered amongst a team-high four birdies, six bogies and a double bogey.
Addison Coll contributed to the team tally again on Tuesday, putting forth a 78 (+6). He owns a share of 49th place entering the final day. Grant Weaver rounds out the Buckeye lineup, registering scores of 81-79 and tied for 70th place.
