Buckeyes Finish Third at the Northern Intercollegiate – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Boo Timko led the final charge on Sunday, registering a 67 as the Ohio State men’s golf team ascended up to third place in the Northern Intercollegiate team standings. Individually, Timko’s scorching round pushed him into a share of fourth place overall.
The Buckeyes completed the weekend at 28-over, besting a pair of top-10 squads along the way. Timko’s 5-under 67 was the second-lowest round of the entire tournament and included nine birdies and one of eight eagles on the day. He took advantage of the long holes, dipping five shots under par on the Par 5’s.
Fellow upperclassmen Grant Weaver and Logan Jones put forth top-25 efforts as well, earning shares of 21st and 25th place, respectively. Weaver sandwiched a second round 73 with a pair of 76s to go 9-over. Jones was one shot back at 226 (+10) after carding scores of 70-79-77.
Sophomore Addison Coll was in contention for a top-10 showing after two rounds before slipping a bit on the final day with an 82. Overall, he placed 37th in the 75-player field at 14-over. Redshirt freshman Josh Wick, playing as an individual, was the next highest finishing Buckeye. Wick followed up back-to-back 78s with a final round 75. His 15-over 231 total earned him a share of 38th place. Sean Busch rounded out the OSU lineup, contributing a pair of scores to the team tally. At the end of the day, he found himself tied for 48th on the leaderboard at 17-over (233).
