It’s Hall of Fame weekend at Ohio State! Two former women’s track and field athletes are set to join the Varsity O Hall of Fame Saturday at halftime of the Ohio State-Cincinnati game at Ohio Stadium. Learn more about our two new HOF’ers, Tami Smith and Rosalind Goodwin.
Tami Smith
Tami Smith was a five-time Big Ten champion and two-time First Team All-American for the Buckeyes from 2000-03. She owns the school record in the outdoor high jump (6-0.00) and is co-owner of the OSU indoor record at the same height, making her the only Buckeye to clear six feet during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She won three-consecutive Big Ten indoor titles in the high jump from 2001-03 and added back-to-back outdoor titles in 2002 and 2003. The Columbus native and Westland High School product earned indoor and outdoor First Team All-America status in 2002. Rosalind Goodwin
Rosalind Goodwin was a two-time All-American in the triple jump for the Buckeyes, placing fifth at the 2005 NCAA Outdoor Championships and sixth at the 2004 national championships. A six-time Big Ten champion, Joseph won the Big Ten indoor triple jump and long jump titles in both 2004 and 2005, while also winning the 2004 outdoor triple jump and 2005 outdoor long jump crowns. She still holds Ohio State records in the outdoor triple jump, the indoor triple jump and the indoor and outdoor long jump.
