Barnes Finishes Fifth at USATF Junior World Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio – Freshman sprinter Aaliyah Barnes competed in the 2014 USA Track and Field Junior World Championships last Saturday and Sunday at TrackTown USA in Eugene, Ore.
Barnes, a Columbus native from Eastmoor High School who also is a member of the school-record holding 4×400-meter relay team, finished fifth overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.74. Her finish qualified her as an alternate for the 4×400 meter USA relay team.
The 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships will take place in Eugene July 22-27 at Hayward Field.
