Ohio State Wraps Competition at the Armory Collegiate Invite – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field team completed competition at the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City Saturday afternoon.
The highlight of the final day of competition was a win by sophomore SoSo Walker in the 500-meter dash. The sophomore completed her race in 1:13.45, .07 seconds ahead of South Carolina’s Maya Evans.
Here’s how the rest of the day shaped up for the Buckeyes:
Mile College
Sophomore Tammy Berger used a personal-best time of 4:55.74 to place fourth overall, while junior Michelle Thomas turned in an eighth-place and personal-best time of 5:00.24. Lindsay Prettyman of Delaware was first overall in 4:46.90.
3000m College
A season-best time of 9:40.66 helped Thomas to fourth place. Jessica Kamilos of Arkansas won the race in a time of 9:32.40.
High Jump Eastern
Sixth place went to sophomore Jasmine Glover at 1.66 meters (5-5.25). Emilie Grey of Arkansas cleared 1.69 meters (5-6.50) for a first-place finish.
Weight Throw Championship
A personal-best mark of 17.34 meters (56-10.75) helped junior Carly Pendleton to a ninth-place finish. Unattached competitior Victoria Flowers was first overall at 20.00 meters (65-7.50).
4x400m Relay College
Ohio State turned in a first-place time of 3:42.26. George Mason was the runner-up in 3:42.35.
Ohio State returns to action next weekend at the SPIRE DI Invitational.
