Buckeyes Ranked Third in CGA Preseason Poll – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s gymnastics team was ranked third in the College Gymnastics Association (CGA) Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released Sunday.
Oklahoma earned seven of 17 first-place votes as the No. 1-ranked team in the preseason poll. Defending national champion Michigan was ranked second, followed by the Buckeyes, Stanford and Illinois. Ohio State received one first-place vote in the preseason rankings.
The Buckeyes are the second-highest ranked Big Ten team in the poll at No. 3 behind the Wolverines. Illinois was ranked No. 5, while Penn State (No. 6), Minnesota (No. 7), Iowa (No. 9) and Nebraska (No. 10) also featured in the Top 10.
Ohio State returns three All-Americans and 11 letterwinners from a team that finished fifth at the 2014 NCAA Championships, the highest finish for the Buckeyes at the national championships since 2005.
OSU opens the 2014-15 campaign with the Scarlet and Gray Exhibition Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. at Steelwood Athletic Training Facility. The regular season begins Jan. 17 with a trip to the Windy City Invitational in Chicago.
