Sykes Named B1G Track Athlete of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s track and field senior Chesna Sykes has been named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Sykes, a Columbus native, placed first in both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash this past Friday at the Buckeye Classic inside French Field House.
Her time of 7.35 in the 60-meter dash is currently tied for second best in the country. She won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.93.
It marks the first Big Ten weekly award for Sykes, who is a three-time All-Big Ten performer and three-time All-American.
Ohio State travels to Lexington, Ky., this weekend for the Kentucky Invite, Jan. 17-18.
