Field Athletes Compete at Ashland – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Several Ohio State field athletes competed at the Ashland Alumni Open Friday and Saturday in Ashland, Ohio.
Senior Alexis Thomas was the runner-up in the elite section of the hammer throw with a mark of 63.47m (208-3.00. She has cleared 60 meters in every meet this season.
Sophomore Carly Pendleton posted season bests in both the discus (47.62m/156-3.00) and hammer (49.18m/161-4.00), finishing first and ninth, respectively.
Fifth place in the long jump went to senior Bridget Jacobs (5.35m/17-6.75), while freshman Alyssa Gary placed eighth in the shot put (13.01m/42-8.25).
The Buckeyes return to action next Friday, May 3, at the Ohio Open in Athens, Ohio.
