Ohio State Relays Take Off on Final Day of Penn Relays – Ohio State Buckeyes

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 22 Ohio State women’s track and field team concluded competition at the 118th Penn Relays Saturday as the last group of Buckeyes took to the track. The Scarlet and Gray wrapped up the three-day meet with performances in the 4x400m relay and 4x800m relay.
In the 4×4, Nyjah Cousar, Jackie Dim, Aisha Cavin and Shaniqua McGinnis worked together to earn a fourth-place finish with a time of 3:36.53 in the elite Championship of America division. The Texas A&M Aggies placed first in 3:36.53. Also competing in the Championship of America division was the 4x800m relay team of Katie Betts, Jordan Jennewine, Katie Borchers and Tori Brink. They turned in a time of 8:58.85 for ninth. Oregon’s team won the race in 8:24.16.
Kristen Esterheld competed Saturday in the RedHawk Invitational at Miami (Ohio). She placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 40.45m (132-8). Cincinnati’s Jessica Molyet (48.80m/160-1) took first.
