Jillian Bauer Joins Buckeyes for 2012 Season – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team has added Jillian Bauer to its 2012 roster, Ohio State head coach Geoff Carlston announced. Bauer joins the incoming trio of Alex Heyn, Andrea Kacsits and Katie Mitchell as next year’s freshman class.

Bauer, a 5-8 defensive specialist from Verona, Wis., led Verona Area High School to an outright conference title this season and a berth at the state championships for the first time in school history. The four-time team Most Valuable Player was named first team All-State this season and was a finalist for the 2011 Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year.

“We are really excited to have Jillian joining our Buckeye family,” Carlston said. “She is a tremendous competitor and will help solidify our ball control this upcoming season.”
