Three Buckeyes Medal at Alex Wilson Last Chance Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The No. 17 Ohio State women’s track and field team sent several members of the team to Notre Dame for the Alex Wilson Last Chance Invitational March 2-3. As the NCAA championship quickly nears, three buckeyes traveled to South Bend with hopes of turning in season best performances to improve their chances of competing in the national championship meet.
Christienne Linton competed as the lone Buckeye on the track Saturday. Linton finished the 60m hurdles in second place with a PR time of 8.26. That time is currently No. 21 in the country. Cassandra Lloyd (8.24) of Wright State narrowly edged Linton for first.
Two members of the Scarlet and Gray competed in the weight throw pulling in silver and bronze medals. Maggie Mullen used a throw of 19.28m (63-3.25) for second while teammate Alexis Thomas (19.03m/62-5.25) finished in third. Fellow Big Ten competitor Beth Rohl (20.99m/68-10.50) from Michigan State claimed the gold medal.
