COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior sprinter/hurdler Christina Manning was named Big Ten co-Track Athlete of the Week Monday by the conference office. Manning receives the honor along with Penn State’s Mahagony Jones. This award is the second indoor Athlete of the Week award earned by Manning during her career.
The Waldorf, Md., native collects the weekly laurel after starting her final season as a Buckeye by placing first in two events at Friday’s Buckeyes Classic. Manning won the 60m dash in 7.40 and the 60m hurdles in 8.19. Her dash and hurdle times were good enough to take the first and second spots in the nation this season, respectively.
