Buckeye Aloha Blog – Day 6 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team is in Hawaii in playing in the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic. The 22nd-ranked Buckeyes will play 23rd-ranked Long Beach State (2-3) Sunday at 3 p.m. HT.
Hey y’all! It’s Mariah Booth, Kaitlyn Leary and Alyssa Winner here!! So as you know we are in Hawaii and having a blast. Today was our off day of competition and was so much fun! We started off with breakfast outside by the pool and then we left for practice. After we worked on some defensive adjustments for Long Beach it was time to play. We went to the famous Leonard’s Bakery and donut place, which was featured on the Food Network channel it was definitely a treat! Then we broke up into different groups and some headed to the beach while some hit up the cute Hawaiian stores. We came back to the hotel to get cleaned up from the beach and to get ready for a surprise sunset boat ride. The boat ride was a ton of fun with dancing and picture taking, plus the sunset was to die for. We ended the night with a delicious dinner on the beach at Dukes with Tiki torches and palm trees surrounding us! This place is amazing. It really is paradise. We all had such a blast today but we are taking Long Beach tomorrow and we are ready! Aloha!
