Ohio State Concludes Second Round at Olympia Fields – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – With the second round in the books, the 20th-ranked Ohio State men’s golf team will head into the final day of action at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational tied for tenth. The Scarlet and Gray finished the day 24-over 304 on the par 70, 7,205-yard North Course at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Ill.
The Buckeyes have a two-day total of 29-over 589.
Senior Dan Charen remains in the Top 20 after recording a score of 75 to finish the round tied for 19th. Also shooting a 75 on day two was freshman Boo Timko, who continues to be a staple for the Buckeye attack, is tied for 32nd with a 5-over 147 in only his second collegiate start.
Junior Jamie Sindelar is now tied for 38th after posting a score of 79, while freshman Grant Weaver improved on his opening round performance recording a 75 on day two at to finish tied for 67th.
Also competing for the Buckeyes, senior Alex Redfield heads into Sunday’s competition tied for 69th.
The final round of the invitational will be played tomorrow beginning at 8 a.m. (CT).
