Cheverton 16th in 400 Free at Worlds – Ohio State Buckeyes

Former Buckeye standout Samantha Cheverton swam her first race Sunday at the FINA world championships in Shanghai, China, placing 16th in the preliminary heats of the 400 yard freestyle event. Her time was 4:09.81.
A member of Team Canada, Cheverton has two more opportunities for competition later in the week. Tuesday, she will swim the 200 free and Thursday, she is a member of Canada’s 4×200 freestyle relay team.
