Sam Cheverton, a senior psychology major and co-captain, was named the team MVP for the fourth consecutive year. She was also voted as the coaches MVP by head coach Bill Dorenkott and assistant coach Stefanie Williams. Cheverton was an honorable mention All-American in four events at the 2011 NCAA championships: the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 400 and 800 freestyle relays.
