Pair of Buckeyes Open Competition at Drake Relays – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Buckeye distance runners Ellen Birmingham and Tori Brink competed in the 5000m run last night at the 2011 Drake Relays in Des Monies, Iowa.
Birmingham, a senior, came in ninth with a time of 16:56.56, while Brink, a sophomore, followed closely behind in 11th with a PR of 17:02.56. Nebraska Cornhusker Martina Barinova won the race in a time of 16:28.77.
Birmingham, Brink and the rest of the Buckeyes will continue competition Friday.
