Buckeyes Win Pitt Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State won the women’s title at the three-day Pitt Invitational Sunday. The Buckeyes tallied 1313 points, followed by Pitt (770), West Virginia (714), Connecticut (567), Cincinnati (314) and Michigan (191).
The Buckeyes won two events Sunday, including Emily Creran’s victory in the 200 backstroke (1:56.59) and the best time in the 400 freestyle relay, with Michelle Williams, Megan Detro, Phoebe Cater and Alex Norris winning in 3:21.50.
Ohio State took the top four places in the 100 freestyle: Megan Detro (49.96), Michelle Williams (50.12), Alex Norris (51.47) and Phoebe Cater (51.76).
Kelly Ann Baird (16:21.77) finished first and Natalie Nichols (16:39.15) third in the 1650 freestyle. Jackie Brousseau was the top placer in 200 breaststroke finishing third in 2:16.92. Shannon Draves (1:57.97) and Alex Norris (2:01.41) were second and third in the 200 butterfly.
The Buckeyes return to action hosting the Ohio State Invitational December 2-4 at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
