Buckeyes Continue To Lead Pitt Invite – Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State continues to lead the field at the Pitt Invitational after the second day of the weekend competition. The Buckeyes have 925 points, followed by Pitt (546), West Virginia (505), Connecticut (394), Cincinnati (205) and Michigan (110).
Ohio State won the 200 medley relay, with Kelsey Moran, Angela Severn, Shannon Draves and Megan Detro swimming that event in 1:39.15. Shannon Draves won the 100 butterfly in 53.98.
In the 200 freestyle, Alex Norris (1:47.71) and Megan Detro (1:48.22) finished one-two, and Jackie Brousseau (1:02.47) and Angela Severn (1:02.63) were first and second in the 100 breaststroke.
Kelsey Moran won the 100 backstroke in a time of 54.18; Emily Creran was third in that race in 54.97.
In the 400 IM, the Buckeyes took places 2-7: Kelly Titus (4:19.95), Natalie Nichols (4:21.38), Angela Severn (4:21.85), Kelly Ann Baird (4:22.60), Emily Creran (4:24.02) and Kristyn Fulcher (4:25.39). Ohio State’s entries placed second, third and fourth in the 800 freestyle relay.
