Buckeyes announce the creation of “Scarlet Spikers”
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team and head coach Geoff Carlston have created a new way for fans to become involved and support the Buckeyes with the launching of Scarlet Spikers Booster Club.
“We are excited about the launching of the Scarlet Spikers Booster Club,” Carlston said. “Being a part of the Scarlet Spikers will give members more personal connection to our program.”
The Scarlet Spikers is the team’s official booster club created to generate financial support for the Buckeyes. Entry into chalk talks, postgame gatherings, preseason picnics and the end of the year banquet are just some of the benefits members will receive. Depending on the level of support, members can also receive season tickets, a subscription to Buckeye Vision to watch all home matches, signed posters and much more.
“Beyond members building a stronger connection to our program, the Scarlet Spikers is the primary fundrasing arm for our program,” Carlston said. “Members help support financial areas of our program ranging from locker room renovations and team travel to purchasing All-American banners and equipment.
“Joining the Scarlet Spikers is a win-win for any fan wanting to support the Ohio State women’s volleyball program and its student-athletes.”
