Katie Dull and Kelli Barhorst Earn Honorable Mention AVCA Mideast All-Region Honors – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Katie Dull and Kelli Barhorst as honorable mention selections to the Mideast All-Region team. The squads were selected by a panel of coaches.
Dull is a two-time All-Big Ten selection and leads Ohio State (24-11) in points (4.15) and kills (3.54) per set. She ranks second in digs at 1.85 and averages .65 blocks and .20 aces per set. Dull played in all 35 matches this season with 27 starts.
Barhorst, an All-Big Ten honorable mention selection, averaged 2.88 points, 2.25 kills and .90 blocks per set. She started all 30 matches she played this season.
The Buckeyes continue play this week in the Dayton Regional at the University of Dayton Arena. Ohio State faces third-seeded Stanford (26-3) at 6 p.m. Friday. Indiana (23-11) plays sixth-seeded Southern California (27-4) at 4 p.m. in the first semifinal. The Friday winners will advance to the regional championship match at 4 p.m. Saturday at the UD Arena for a berth in the national semifinal, Dec. 16 at the Spring Center in Kansas City, Mo. Saturday’s regional championship will be carried live on ESPNU. Both matches Friday will be broadcast live on the web.
