Buckeyes Gear Up for Fall Ball – Ohio State Buckeyes

Catch Ohio State in action Oct. 3-4 at the Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team kicked off practice this week at Buckeye Field, gearing up for its fall ball schedule that includes hosting the eighth annual Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic Oct. 3-4 at Fred Beekman Park on The Ohio State University campus. Ohio State also will play a game at Kentucky Sept. 27.
The Buckeyes were quick at work on fielding and base running technique while the pitchers and catchers were working on their own craft, respectively.
Ohio State is coming off one of its most successfully years in program history, ending the 2009 season with a 47-11 record, the second-most wins in program history, after making the first-ever trip to an NCAA Super Regional.
Buckeyes Sam Marder, a rising senior, and Kim Reeder (2006-09) were named NFCHA All-Americans, becoming the 11th and 12th selections in program history.
