WSWM&DIV: 2009-10 Ohio State Schedule Announced – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio The 2009-10 Ohio State women’s swimming and diving schedule has been set and will feature eight dual meets and two regular season invitationals. The Buckeyes will be hosting five duals and one invite during the season.
Ohio State opens the year with its annual Scarlet and Gray meet Oct. 23 at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The team then hosts Division III powerhouse Kenyon Oct. 31 in its first dual meet of the season.
The Buckeyes start November on the road, first traveling to Cincinnati Nov. 6 and then taking part in the Purdue Invitational Nov. 20-22. The squad closes out the month with a co-ed dual meet with Cleveland State Nov. 24 at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
December is full of championship-style swimming, highlighted by the fifth-annual Ohio State Invitational Dec. 4-6. USA Swimming hosts a pair of national meets that a handful of Buckeyes will participate in during December, beginning with the USA Short Course National Championships Dec. 3-5 in Seattle, Wash. McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion will be home of the USA Junior National Championships Dec. 10-13.
The month of January features five dual meets with three being at home. The Buckeyes host Wright State on Jan. 8 and then travel to Toledo on Jan. 9. After a two week break, Ohio State heads to Michigan State for its first Big Ten dual of the season Jan. 22 and then hosts rival Michigan Jan. 23. The team finishes the dual season with a two-day home meet against Penn State Jan. 29-30.
Ohio State travels to West Lafayette, Ind., for the 2009 Big Ten Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 17-20 and then will host the Ohio State Last Chance meet on Feb. 28. All qualified swimmers and divers will then be a part of the 2009 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in West Lafayette March 18-20.
