WTRK: Wright, Buckeyes Conclude 2009 Campaign at NCAA Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Letecia Wright finished 16th in the semifinals of the 100m hurdles Friday evening at the NCAA Championships, capping the 2009 season for the Ohio State women’s track and field team.
The sophomore ran a time of 13.55, falling short of qualifying for Saturday’s finals. Houston senior Moriam-Seun Adigun ran the top semifinal time, crossing the finish line in 12.91. Tiffany Ofili of Michigan finished second in 13.02, followed by Texas A&M sophomore Gabby Mayo (13.04). Wright’s top time on the season came two weeks ago at the NCAA Mideast Regionals, a run of 13.28 she finished second to Ofili at the 2009 Big Ten Championships.
Ohio State’s Big Ten Champion 4x400m relay team wrapped its season Thursday, finishing 11th in the preliminary round with a time of 3:35.04.
